Schieveling Plantation is a unique place to live. It has a
rich
history. Located on Highway 61 North on the way to Summerville, South
Carolina, the historical plantations and gardens of Drayton Hall, Magnolia
Plantation, and Middleton Place lie just to its North. The common tie among
these plantations and gardens is their location along the Ashley River.
Downtown Charleston is a scant 20 minutes to the South.
The community is regulated by its own ARB
[Architectural Review Board] Standards and Guidelines, Bylaws of Schieveling
Plantation Homeowner's Association, Inc., and Declaration of Covenants and
Restrictions for Schieveling Plantation. These
governing documents are
enforced.
As of February 2010, there are 130
homes built. The homes reflect
a combination of Charleston, Neo-traditional, and Low Country
architecture. The neighborhood has 137 lots and enjoys 17 acres of
common property along with a beautiful clubhouse and a junior Olympic
pool. There is also a
playground for our enjoyment.
